Included page "clone:olan" does not exist (create it now) Welcome page Occupy Libraries and Archives News Working Group began in 2011 as a reaction to the destruction of the Occupy Wall Street Library. We are a group of archivists and members of the Issues & Advocacy Roundtable at the Society of American Archivists. Our mission is to collect and disseminate information about libraries and archives that have been operating at Occupied sites, and also collect information about repositories, which have been gathering materials about the Occupy movement. While serving as a clearinghouse for information, we also act as an advocacy group, and are hoping to raise public awareness about the challenges facing Occupy libraries and archives. As members of the Issues & Advocacy Roundtable, we offer a professional support network for Occupy libraries and archives, and for the growing number of repositories and initiatives that have been collecting physical and digital materials documenting the Occupy movement around North America and the rest of the world.
